Microsoft’s Venture into Social Bookmarking
Social bookmarking and many other social internet’s developing technologies and trends are catching up with the software giant from Redmond and they have repeatedly made it known, unable to catch the next big one. They have already announced their schedule for the release of Bing, their own and proprietary search engine this coming October. They do have a social bookmarking tool, known as ThumbTack, a tool they refer to as an online research collection tool.
They do have a knack of developing their own systems (mostly based on the product somebody else has already done), but they have always managed to do something special that most people either love or hate them more for. They are trying their best to catch up with the rest of the social web (after all, Bill was one of the biggest and staunchest supporters of the emerging NET 2.0 or the now well loved social internet). They will always be part of the computing industry, for how long, well as long as they have majority of most of the computers out there.
